Wrinkle free curing oven introduced

SEWING MACHINES: J.K. Agencies (Pvt) Ltd, a leading supplier of industrial sewing machines, accessories and spare parts to the local apparel industry has introduced a new wrinkle free curing oven to upgrade value added garments in Sri Lanka.

Director, J.K. Agencies (Pvt) Ltd, Ravi Kalubowila said that this is a UK based technique called both Pladvac batch type and conveyorised tunnel ovens for the non iron garment manufacturing and finishing industry which is utilised on a large scale in the garment industry worldwide.

Ovens have been designed and manufactured by the Pladrest Heating Ltd. in UK and it has a good reputation from their customers in UK, Europe, North Africa the Far East.

This is a fully automated processing and the output provides good appearance and high quality garments. It also provides wrinkle free garments.

The machine is capable of curing between 175 and 1,500 garments per hour for the full range of ladies, gents and children's wear, he said.

The company has also introduced the Pladvac garment packaging equipment and specialist heating application equipment for the local garment industry. "This has been developed to reduce costs whilst protecting the finish of garments.

The system reduces garment volumes to less than 50 percent to provide massive savings on expensive space as well as increasing ease of handling and offering a greater garment protection.

Garments packed by the Pladvac system can remain in storage indefinitely.

Other benefits are savings on freight costs, savings on storage costs, preservation of quality, ease of handling, labour savings and time saving," he said.
