SLMM informed on new LTTE bunkers

WANNI: The construction of two new LTTE bunkers ahead of their Forward Defence Line at Omanthai on either side of the A-9 highway was brought to the notice of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission yesterday evening.

The construction of the new bunkers amounts to a gross violation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government and LTTE, states a release. Both these new bunkers have been constructed either side of the A-9 road at Omanthai.
