Ireland trounce Namibia

CRICKET: Ireland trounced Namibia by six wickets in their under 19 Youth World Cup Plate championship play off semifinal match played at the NCC grounds, Maitland Place yesterday.

After bowling out their opponens for just 115 runs Ireland cruised to their target quite convincingly with 20 overs to spare.

New Zealand in Plate final

New Zealand powered their way into the Plate championship final with a crushing 170 run victory over the United States of America in their under 19 Youth World Cup semifinal match played at the P. Sarvanamuttu Stadium yesterday.

A. P. de Boorder hit an unbeaten century in New Zealand's total of 295 for 8 and the Unites States of America were bundled out for 125 runs in under 30 overs.
