Autocross on Feb. 26

MOTOR RACING: The Land Rover Owners Club (LROC) Autocross 2006 organised by the Sri Lanka LROC will take place at Waters Edge on the 26th of this month and will be sponsored by Frontier Automotive, sole agents for Land Rover in Sri Lanka.

This year's event will be similar to last year's which was held at the same venue. This year too performance will be based on timings and points given for special tasks performed by the co-driver, while the track will comprise of deep water wading, mud, ruts, axle twisters and steep climbs and descents, all of which would test every skill of the driver.

This will be an extreme four-wheel drive event which will test the technical driving skills and all round prowess of the participating drivers and Frontier Automotive as agents for Land Rover are pleased to be sponsoring this event said CEO Frontier Automotive, Sheran Fernando.

This years event will be open to all 4 x 4 manufacturers as well. The event will be restricted to only 30 entries and application forms are available from Frontier Automotive at 271 Galle Road, Colombo 3.
