Emirates Chairman meets Indian PM

CHAIRMAN and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum accompanied by a senior delegation from the airline, met Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh in Delhi recently.

The Indian Prime Minister and Sheikh Ahmed discussed key issues relating to the aviation industry, and Sheikh Ahmed also thanked the Indian government for granting the airline additional traffic to operate to India.

Sheikh Ahmed and Emirates' senior executives were in India to celebrate the launch of Emirates' new non-stop service between Dubai and Thiruvananthapuram, as well as to mark the strengthening of the airline's air services to two other south Indian cities - Cochin and Chennai.
