Gayan Peiris wins MVP award for 2005

GAYAN Sajeeva Peiris has been awarded the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award 2005 by Microsoft Corporation for extraordinary efforts guiding peers in Microsoft Office, share Points, Portal Server.

Gayan Peiris has obtained his Bachelor of Computing Degree from the Monash University, Australia and Master of Information Technology from University of Canberra.

He is one of the Sri Lanka's Information Technology Professional in Australia who has been awarded certificates on Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Application Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) and served as an Assistant Lecturer on Information Technology and Computing at Monash University. He will undertake his Phd studies soon.

Gayan's eldest brother Chamara Crishantha Peiris (Chris Peris) is also a product of St. Joseph's College, Colombo 10 and Monash University, Australia. He was also awarded the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) by Microsoft Corporation USA in 2003.

He is currently doing his research work on computing and information technology for his Phd. Gayan Peiris is a product of St. Joseph's College, Colombo 10.

He is the second son of D. P. Christopher Peiris of Mahaiyawawatta, Kalapaluwawa, Angoda, retired Senior Bank Manager. Gayan's mother Shantha Chandrani Meewella Peiris is a retired Principal of Sri Indrajothi Vidyalaya, Battaramulla.
