Bracken released from squad

MELBOURNE, Friday (Reuters) - Left arm swing bowler Nathan Bracken has been released from Australia's one-day squad for Sunday's match against Sri Lanka in Perth for personal reasons, chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said on Friday.

"The selectors and team management have agreed to allow Nathan Bracken to return to Sydney and we're hopeful he'll be available for selection for the one-day international in Melbourne on February 3," Hohns said in a statement.

Thirty six teams for Singer Rugby Sevens

THE Singer Professional Rugby Sevens will be worked off today and tomorrow at the Colombo University and CR and FC grounds, Longden Place.

A record number of 36 teams will be taking part in this tournament which has been divided into two segments. 16 top teams will vie for honours in segment 'A' while lesser known teams will battle it out in segment 'B'.

Prize money will be offered to the segment 'A' and 'B' winners and runners-up.
