Sudaroli journalist shot dead

A provincial correspondent of the Tamil newspaper Sudaroli was killed
yesterday around 6.50 a.m., police said.
S.S. Rajan, 39, employed at the Ports Authority was shot in the head
near the Trincomalee Governor's office while walking towards the main
road from his home. Police are investigating.
Meanwhile, Muttur Police are investigating the killing of R.
Sundaralingam, 53, a former labourer of the Muttur Pradeshiya Sabha
yesterday morning.
He was shot dead around 8.00 a.m. near his residence in Muttur. |
