Eraj heads national selection committee

FORMER Sri Lanka Badminton Association president Eraj Wijesinghe heads the five-member National Selection Committee appointed by the Minister of Sport.

Hemasiri Fernando (NOC president), Commodore H.U. Silva (NOC secretary-general), Dunstan Fernando (former athletic official) and D.D.C. Munasinghe (former boxing official) are the other members of the committee appointed for a period of one year from January 1, 2006.

The National Selection Committee deals with selections made for the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, Asian Games, SAE Games etc.
