Cash, jewellery robbed from businessman's house
 

AN unidentified armed group robbed nearly Rs. one million and jewellery from a businessman's house in Kiribathgoda on Thursday night.

The group in masks had entered the house around 8.45 p.m. armed with T-56 weapons and pistols and stolen the cash and jewellery at gun point.

Police said the businessman is a shop owner in Kiribathgoda. His house is at a Housing Scheme in Kiribathgoda.

The group had also forcibly removed a luxury vehicle belonging to the businessman, later found abandoned along a road in Welipillawa, Ragama. Kiribathgoda Police is investigating.
