Azim heads SLASU selection committee

Minister of Youth Affairs has appointed Azim Azain as Chairman of the national selection committee for Aquatic Sports. The other members of the new five-member national selection committee are Nishantha Wickremasinghe, Aruna Gamge, Jeevaka Perera and Samitha Perera.

Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union said a 43-member national pool has been picked in preparations for the forthcoming 10th South Asian Games in Colombo later this year. The final Sri Lanka team for the eight-nation Games will be named after a series of trials, including the 2006 Sri Lanka National Championships.
