Chamil among top four

Schoolboy Chamil Wickremasinghe, Nassie Hannah, Jyoti Haynes and Mike Morley with 29 strokes each emerged joint winners at the scramble golf championship organised by Victoria Golf and Country Resort and worked off at the Victoria Golf Course at Rajawella.

Most outstanding of the foursome was schoolboy Chamil Wickremasinghe as he played to a handicap of 9, while Jyoti Haynes had 25, Mike Morly 28 and Nassie Hannah 36.

The scores of the championship were: Chamil Wickremasinghe 29, Jyoti Haynes 29, Mike Morly 29, Nassie Hannah 29, P. Morly 35, Sam Subramaniam 33, Annesly de Soysa 37, Joan Vincent 35, Ian Tait 33, Keith Skelton 35, Sonya Boyle 37, Babu Wickremaratne 37, Sandie Macandrew 35.
