Establishment of National Nikayarakshaka Sabha

The Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya Sanwardana Sabha will establish a National Nikayarakshaka Sabha of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya, according to the Sanwardana Sabha Chief Secretary Ven. Silogama Wimala Nayaka Thera.

The inaugural meeting will be held at Ranmutugala Maha Viharaya, Ranmuthugala, Kadawatha, under the patronage of Ramanna Maha Nikaya Maha Nayaka the Most Ven. Weweldeniye Medhalankara Maha Nayaka Thera on January 14 at 8.30 a.m.

Ven. Anunayaka Theras and Adhikarana Sanghanayaka Thera, Chief Lekhakadhikari Thera, the Secretaries of Regional Sangha Sabhas, MPs Karu Jayasuriya, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Kesarrlal Gunasekera and John Seneviratne are expected to attend the occasion.

Five representatives from each of the 43 Sangha Sabhas spread through the island, i.e., 215, will be appointed as members of the Jathika Nikayarakshaka Sabha of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya at the inaugural meeting.

The Election of Office-bearers to the Sanwardana Sabha will also take place on this occasion.
