Negombo Youth out to make it a double

The Kit Premier League Champions Negombo Youth SC, Runners up Ratnams, third placed Blue Star SC from Kalutara and Sri Lanka Navy SC the Sgment B leaders qualified to play in the prestigious Kit Champion of Champions Trophy.

This will be played on a Knock-out basis is to be played at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo on February 09. The First Semi final is scheduled to kick off at 4.0 p.m. between Negombo Youth SC and Navy SC, while the second game between Ratnm SC and Blue Star SC commenes at 6.0p.m. Final is scheduled to be played on Feb.12 at 06.00 p.m. at same venue.Kit Champion of Champions will receive the Trophy and Rs. 250,000/- and the runner up will receive Rs. 100,000/-

None of the Kit Premier League Champions have won the Champion of Champions Trophy to make it a doubl. This is a good opportunity for Negombo Youth SC to clinch this and set a record by clinching the double for the first time making history. They have already bagged the Premier League and the cash award of Rs. 500,000 prize money.

The defending champions Blue Star SC - Kalutara will have it tough with Runner up Ratnam SC, The Kotahena Club who is the runner up of the Kit Premier League. The never say die Navy who topped the Segment 'B' with an unbeaten record is sure to give Premier League Champs a torrid time. They will go flat out to create an upset here on this day. If they succeed in their attempt the championship will be a wide open one.

Then the soccer fans here are sure to witness a top clas game of football during the final Segment A.
