Sri Lanka in Group 'C'
SRI LANKA has been drawn in Pool 'C' along with England, Australia
and Cook Islands for the Commonwealth Games seven-a-side rugby
tournament.
A total of 16 teams will vie for honours at the forthcoming
Commonwealth Games rugby sevens gold medal in March. The teams have been
drawn in four groups to play in the preliminary round on March 16 at
Telstra Dome in Melbourne.
The final round matches, including the final and bronze medal play
off, will be played on March 17 at the same venue. New Zealand, Kenya,
Wales and Namibia will play in Pool 'A, while Fiji, Scotland, Canada and
Zambia compete under Pool 'B'.
Drawn in Pool 'D' for the Commonwealth Games sevens are South Africa,
Samoa, Tonga and Uganda. - (D.W.) |
