Quran memorising convocation at Weligama

THE first convocation of Rifayiya Hiflul Quran (Quran memorising) Madrasa will be held on January 13 after asr prayers at Muhiyadeen Jumma Mosque, Kapuwatta, Weligama.

Rifai Moulana Al Haj Muhammad Ashique Thangal will chair the proceedings. His holiness Al Haj As Seyyed Muhammad Jiffry Moulana will be the special guest.

Western Province Governor Al Haj Alavi Moulana, Minster of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, and Colombo Commercial High Court Judge A.W.A. Salaam will be the guests of honours.

Prinicpal of Misbahul Hudha Arabic College, Pulmodai Al Haj Al Alimul Falil Jauferdeen Rahmani, Principal of Minnathul Fasiyya Arabic College, Matara, Al Haj Moulavi M.S. Isthikar and Al Hafil Moulavi S.M.S. Muhammad Umar Rilwanullah of Kayalpattanam, South India will deliver the religious lectures.

The following eight students will receive Al Hafil certificates and awards for memorising the whole Quran. they are B.L. Muhammad Yasir (Tangalle) M.A. Muhammad Asrar (Dickwella), M.M. Muhammad Murshid, M.M. Muhammad Shifan A.S. Ahamed Shazrin of Kapuwatta, Weligama S.M.M.S. Barid Moulana, K.A. Muhammad Fashan of Galbokka Weligama and M.M. Mohamed Ifas of Welipitiya, Weligama.
