Local Polls slated for April

Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake yesterday declared that he had requested the Local Government Ministry Secretary to inform him before January 18 whether the forthcoming Local Government Elections should be held under the proposed mixed system or the prevailing proportional representation system.
