NINE year old Suharshini Mala Fernando of 15/13, Sriya Place, Koralawella, Moratuwa is suffering from Acute Heart Disease.

According to Dr. Aruna Kapuruge, Consultant Cardiotheracic Surgeon, Sri Jayawardanapura Hospital, Rs. 280,000 is necessary to correct a thinning artery and a block due to a growth in another.

Suharshini's mother Dayawathi Fernando (47) died of kidney failure two years ago. Her only sister Shakila Subashini (12) is mentally retarted.

Suharshini has received a cheque for Rs. 110,000 from the President's Fund. Rs. 20,000 has been collected from the sale of tickets.

Her Father Sunil Fernando, a labourer says, "I failed to collect funds necessary to save my wife's life. Please help to save at least my little daughter."
