SriLankan helps graduates

Twenty young unemployed graduates from various universities received valuable on-the-job training at SriLankan Airlines as the airline did its part to assist the Government of Sri Lanka in providing graduates with useful skills that will enable them to secure employment.

"SriLankan Airlines received a request from the Ministry of Ports and Aviation, to participate in the programme. As the National Carrier, we are always aware of our responsibilities to the community, and undertook this programme, among the many other Social Responsibility Projects that we already have," said Sunil Dissanayake, Head of Human Resources.

Armed with the benefits of SriLankan's training, all of the graduates have now secured employment at private companies and public sector organisations, including at the airline itself, while three more are currently completing their internships.
