Anura Rohana and Mithum Perera in the lead

The Sri Lanka Open Golf Championship which began on Tuesday and ends
today at the Royal Colombo Golf had 84 golfers vying for championship
honours on day one on the stroke play format over 4 runs of 18 holes
each on par 71.
On day two Wednesday the cut off stage, the contending golfers were
reduced to 45 and, at the end of the third round on day three yesterday
the Asian tour professional Anura Rohana finds himself in the lead with
8 under par after 205, to be closely followed by former Sri Lankan
Junior champ and runner up of the Hong Kong Amateur Open, Mithum Perera
who with an aggregate of 209 has a 4 under Par lying third are K.
Prabhakaran and J. J. Kumar with an identical 213 to be even. J. M.
Indika is in 5th place on 217 with 4 over.
However, the best round on day 3 was that of Prabhakaran with a 4
under Par 67 who moved from his 8th Place to tie for the third position
veteran golfer Nandasena Perera, in his third round carded 2 under Par
69 to improve his position to 6th Place.
Professional golfers Lalith Kumara had a disappointing third round of
74 to be 3 over, in 8th Place today the final day, the fourth round,
will witness a keen tussle between Anura Rohana, Mithum Perera, K.
Prabhakaran, J. J. Kumar, and J. M. D. Indika for the Sri Lanka golf
title.
