IBSL professional banking exam results out

THREE hundred and sixty five (365) applicants who sat the banking examination this September Examination cycle were successful. The Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka conducts these Professional Examinations in collaboration with the London based Chartered Institution of Bankers.

Since 2000 IBSL has opened opportunities for school leavers to pursue professional studies and develop their careers in Banking and Finance.

In September 2000, the IBSL signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chartered Institute of Bankers (London) (CIB). It has significantly enhanced international recognition for professional qualification offered by the IBSL.

Certificates for these examination are to be awarded jointly by the IBSL and CIB, as well as the course structure, syllabi and the examination answer scripts too are to be moderated regularly by the CIB.

IBSL conducts these professional examinations bi-annually - in March and September each year. With the release of the results of the September 2005 examinations, applications for the March 2006 examinations were posted individually. The examination will be held on March 18, 19 and 25, 2006.
