XPRESS Money funds transfers through the National Savings Bank was
launched last Tuesday.
Xpress Money is a service brought by Xpress Money Services Ltd., a
London based company.
Xpress Money Services is an associate of the UAE Exchange Centre LLC,
a member of the NMC Group of Companies.
UAE Exchange Centre is a pioneer in the field of retail money
transfer business with over 20 years of experience in this line.
Over the years it has built up a correspondent network of over 80
banks globally.
In order to provide instant money transfers through advanced web
based technology a new company named Xpress Money Services Limited, was
formed and registered in London in the year 2001. The brand name of the
products of this company is "Xpress Money".
The company had focused on network building by striking long lasting
and profitable relationships with the network partners. At present they
have agents in 72 countries and over 8,800 service outlets. The company
had leveraged their expertise, infrastructure and new technology.
An agreement was signed between Xpress Money Service Limited and the
National Savings Bice was done by Chairank with the blessings of the
Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The inauguration of this funds transfer servman of the National
Savings Bank Upali Gunaratne in the presence of Sudhir Kumar Shetty,
General Manager, Xpress Money Services Limited., Eastman Narangoda,
General Manager/CEO, National Saving Bank and the Corporate Management
of the Bank. Sri Lankan nationals living abroad now have the ability to
