Harmony in Kandy

HARMONY - Multicultural Concert held in Kandy at the Girl's High School Auditorium on December 9 was highly entertaining and gave a powerful message of oneness.

It was Harmony all the way. Every item was choreographed beautifully to emphasise ethnic harmony, by the producer and artistic director Kalasuri Arunthathy Sri Ranganathan.

Harmony proved that artistic and cultural work is the best way to create identification, recognition, mutual respect and understanding among the people.

Maestros and leading artistes Ravibandu Vidyapathi, Kolithabanu Dissanayake, Kumara Liyanawatte, Abiramy Kandeepan, Sri Shyamalangani, Tony Hassan, Nesan Thiagarajan, Jambunathan, Ratnadurai, Ruckshan Mark and many other leading artistes performed.

Ravindra Randeniya, in his compering, thanked the Norwegian Embassy for supporting such a culturally valuable concert.

ANCL, Metro News, MTV and MBC were the media sponsors.

It was a full Hall with art lovers, academics and students from the Peradeniya University.

The show in Kandy was organised due to popular request after the Colombo show in October.
