IFAC President to visit Sri Lanka
THE President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC)
Graham Ward, will be in Sri Lanka next month at the invitation of the
President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL)
Indrajith Fernando.

His visit to Sri Lanka comes in the wake of several new initiatives
introduce by IFAC to assist developing nations and to further support
quality performance by accountants worldwide, at its council meeting
held in November.
These include a new guide titled 'Establishing and Developing a
Professional Accountancy Body' released in recognition of the role the
accountancy profession plays in contributing to the development of
national economies.
During his four-day visit Ward will meet with corporate sector CEOs,
CFOs other accounting professionals and regulatory authorities for
discussion on a range of issues and these new initiatives.
Ward, has more than 30 years of experience in the accountancy
profession. |
