Kadirgamar Memorial Conference

THE Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) in collaboration with the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University Washington DC, is organising a conference on India - China Relations today and tomorrow.

This conference is dedicated to the memory of late Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar as this was an idea conceived by him, when serving as BCIS Chairman to play a key role in strengthening the cooperation between Asian countries.

This conference will bring together high-level delegates from India and China to initiate a dialogue on issues of mutual importance which will serve to create a global network of scholars to collaborate on producing new comparative knowledge on India and China.

The chief guest will be Ambassador Jayantha Dhanapala, Senior Advisor to the President and former Director General, Secretariat for Coordinating the Peace Process. The late Minister's wife Suganthie will be the Guest of Honour.
