Kelaniya University cricket champs

University of Kelaniya clinched the Inter-University cricket championship for the first time in the history when they trounced University of Sri Jayawardenapura by 6 runs in the final of the cricket tournament organised by the Sri Lanka University Sports Association and played at the Moratuwa University grounds recently.

University of Jayawardenapura cricket qualified for the final after beating University of Jaffna, University of Moratuwa and University of Peradeniya respectively in qualifying matches.
