CWC's Suresh sworn in as Deputy Minister

CWC Badulla District MP Vadivel Suresh yesterday joined the Government and was sworn in as the Deputy Minister Health and Nutrition before President Mahinda Rajapakse at Temple Trees last evening.

The new Deputy Minister said his decision to join the Government was prompted by the pro-people policies contained in the Mahinda Chintana as well as the President's efforts on the peace front.

He said there are others among his Parliament colleagues who are waiting to follow suit.
