State Services Hockey team leaves for Malaysia

Sri Lanka State Services Hockey contingent will leave today to participate in the 32nd International-Pesta Hockey Tournament to be played in Penang, Malaysia from December 15 to December 28.

ASP Sumith Edirisinghe is the President of the Sri Lanka State Service Hockey Federation.

Colombo Traffic ASP T. Ganesanathan will manage the team while Inspector Dayal Deegahawathura will act as the assistant manager.

Ganesanathan participated at the same tournament in 2002 as a player, in 2003 as Assistant Manager and this year as the Manager. International Hockey player Lakshman Abeygunawardane will be the Chief de Mission. A.H.M. Nageem will be the coach assisted by T. Karunanayake.

"A" team will be led by D.S. Wijesinghe and assisted by D.M. Vithana. "B" team will lead by A. Weerasooriya and assisted by M.B. Herath.

The other players who will participate at the tournament are: K.A.R.W. Kumarapeli, L. Ekanayake, S. Alwis, T. Sadheesh Kumar, S.A. Sepali, P. Ampawila, D.S.K. Pushpakumar, M.T. Mahesh, C. Padmaharsha

Koralagedera, S. Jayaratne. K.C. Rajapaksha, S.S.K. Vithanage, K.M.M. Wijeyathunga, D.M.J.B. Dissanayake, T. Saroon, C.H. Rathnayake, S.S. Ariyaratna and M.L.S. Ariyaratna.
