A record number of entries for Reggie Candappa Creative Awards

THE judging of the second Annual Reggie Candappa Creative Awards saw an unprecedented number of entries.

As the judging reached its final stages, at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, the judges had a herculant task ahead of them as the calibre of work entered this time was of high creative standards.

The panel of high profile judges for the print category comprised Upali Herath, Creative Director, Bates Strategic Alliance, Chandini Rajaratnam, Vice President and ECD, J. Walter Thompson, Nicola Bolling, Creative Director, Leo Burnett Solutions, Anusha Wijeyaratne, Executive Creative Director, Lowe LDB Lintas and Russell Miranda, Executive Creative Director, Grant McCann Erickson.

Managing Director of Wrap Factory L.A. Steve de Zilva, Managing Director of Video Image Suren de Silva, Managing Director of Hinsaray Dileepa Abeysekara, Managing Director of Wildlight and Harsh Dave, Producer of Film Farm India (Pvt) Ltd., made up the panel of judges for the newly introduced Reggies category - Television.

Entries closed on November 8 with over 400 applications received for this year's Reggie's, tripling the amount of last year's entries.

This year's entrants included production houses, advertising agencies and freelance creative people.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to go on the boards at Barefoot Gallery Cafe on December 8 and all chosen entries will be on display at the same venue thereafter.
