Ceybank Trust and Growth Funds record growth

THE Ceybank Unit Trust Fund managed by The Unit Trust Management Co. has recorded 15% growth in 6 months ending September 30, 2005 while Ceybank Century Growth Fund has recorded 19% growth.

Ceybank Funds continued to maintain its rank as number one in terms of the size amongst the competitive funds in the Unit Trust Industry, according to CEO Unit Trust Management Chitra Sathkumara in the half yearly financial reports.

Ceybank Century Growth Fund recorded a 19.0% growth in the past 6 months and 35% growth in past 12 months, ranked number one in terms of size amongst the competitive growth funds, Ceybank, realised Rs. 25 million capital gains in comparison to Rs. 4 mn in the previous period.

The total assets value of the fund increased to Rs. 294.7 million.

Meanwhile the Ceybank Unit Trust recorded a 15% growth in the past 6 months, and a 38% growth in past 12 months, ranked number one in terms of the size (Rs. 2,100 mn) in the Unit Trust Industry as at September 30, 2005.

Ceybank Unit Trust realised Rs. 97 million capital gain in comparison to Rs. 32 mn in the previous period.
