Special stamp

The Philatelic Bureau of the Department of Posts will issues a new postage stamp in the denomination of Rs. 20 on December 13 to commemorate '50 Years of relations with the United Nations'.

This stamp has been designed by Sudath Jayawardana.

The official First Day cancellation of this stamp will take place at the BMICH, Colombo 7 today at 3.00 p.m. with the participation of President Mahinda Rajapakshe, Foreign Affairs Minister Managala Samarweera, Posts, Telecommunication and Rural Economic Development Minister D.M. Jayaratne, Foreign Employment Development and Deputy Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Rohitah Abeygunawardena, and several other distinguished Invitees.
