Kelani Cables profits increase

KELANI Cables which hit the Colombo Stock Exchange Market was placed within the top five Companies in the Exchange List last week. Today Kelani has developed its own identity as the up coming Cable giant in power and telecommunication cable manufacturing company in Sri Lanka.

The Company's net sales increased by 60% this year from Rs. 73.8 million last years, as a result of production being doubled-up, without adding a single recruitment or including additional machinery to the existing capacity.

Kelani has increased its profit before tax to Rs. 167 million for the current financial year, a 209 per cent compared to the Rs. 55 million in 2003/2004.
