Lankan Junior Paddlers for Iran

Sri Lanka Junior Table Tennis players will play at the FAJR Inter-National Table Tennis Tournament conducted by Iran Table Tennis Federation from December 15 to 20 in Teheran, Iran.

The Sports Ministry has approved the selection and granted permission to participate at the championships.

Altogether 16 junior players and three officials will make the trip to Iran. The 16 member team - Sukitha Wickremanayake (Dharmaraja College), B. Walagampola (Royal), Chathura Viskam (Sri Devananda, Ambalangoda), Sahanaka Ganegoda (Royal), Ishan Kalyana (Dharmasoka Ambalangoda), Duain Nakandala (Royal), Chameera Ginige (Dharmasoka), Samitha Abeyratne (Royal), Hasintha Shasiranga (Dharmasoka), Nalin Dinusha (Sri Devananda), Imantha Udanjaya (Dharmasoka), Dushan Ranatunga (Isipathana), Oshadee Kottehewa (Royal), Proboditha Rodrigo (St. Anthony's Katugastota), Pasan Bimsara (Royal).

Asith Vidanagamage will be the Manager, Jothipala Samaraweera (Coach), D. G. Weerakoon officer in charge of school players.

The young table tennis players will compete in three age categories under 10, under 12 and under 14 tournaments.
