Bourse dips

The market was down today with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) falling 69.88 points to 2187.56 points and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) closing the day at 2789.83 points, which is also a drop of 91.4 points.

The total equity turnover was Rs. 181.8 million for the day.

The net foreign outflows were Rs 1.9 million with foreign purchases registering Rs. 23 million and foreign sales Rs. 24.9 million during the course of the day.

The total market capitalisation was Rs. 664.6 billion for the day which is a fall of Rs. 21.1 billion. The top five gainers were Watawala (N), Hapugastanne (N), John Keells (N), Hayleys Exports (N) Hotel Sigiriya (N).

The top five losers were Cargills (N), Kandy Hotels 1/- (N), Merc. Shipping (N), Associated Property (N), Kapila Heavy (N)
