Indices drop

THE market was down today. The All Share Price Index (ASPI) fell 22.09 points to 2270.37 points today. The Milanka Price Index (MPI) closed the day at 2899.08 points, which is a drop of 45.27 points.

The total equity turnover was Rs. 323.2 million for the day.

The net foreign outflow was Rs 13.8 million with foreign purchases registering Rs. 105.9 million and foreign sales Rs. 119.7 million during the course of the day.

The total market capitalization was Rs. 689.6 billion for the day, which is a fall of Rs. 6.8 billion.

The top five gainers were Regnis (N), Gestetner (N), Sunshine Holding (N), Printcare (CEY) (N), Mahaweli Reach (N)
