Henry Perera passes away

Henry Perera a retired DIG is no more. He expired after a brief illness. The funeral arrangements will be notified later. Henry a former Josephian swimmer excelled mostly in the two mile sea swim at Mount Lavinia.

Henry held the post of President National Amateur Aquatic Sports Union (NAASU) for several years. He did a lot of promotional work for the benefit of the swimmers in the outstation and in Colombo. His son Virendra was a former Thomian waterpolo player who represented Sri Lanka at several international tournaments. (Leslie).
