Ranil's defeat definite - UPFA

The UPFA Presidential Election Propaganda Coordinator's Office in a media release yesterday predicted the UNP Presidential Candidate's definite defeat at the Presidential Election on November 17.

It condemned thoroughly the unethical political statements by UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe which are motivated to mislead the SLFP loyalists.

It stated that the people will necessarily decide to retire Ranil Wickremesinghe from politics on November 17.

The media release went on to emphasise that the entire membership of the SLFP under the leadership of President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga are totally dedicated to secure the victory of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse.

Therefore the communique advised the UNP leader to give up shedding crocodile tears for the SLFP and mind his business of resolving internal party problems of the UNP, which is the proper course of action conducive to his political health. The enlightened people of Sri Lanka can never forget the credibility Ranil Wickremesinghe displayed in the case of the so called peace process and the incident relating to Millennium City safe house.

Wickremesinghe's two years of performance as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka has left behind ample evidence of his lack of a practical programme to usher in peace for his mother land, added the media release.
