Table tennis double for Ishara

Ishara Madurangi of Sri Devananda College, Ambalangoda clinched a double at the Ashok Melvani Memorial Open Ranking Table Tennis Championships conducted by the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka at the S. Thomas' Indoor Stadium, Mount Lavinia on October 29 and 30.

Ishara beat Saranga de Silva of Old Sokians Sports Club, Ambalangoda in the Women's Open final by 12-10, 11-5, 11-9 and 11-5 and then partnered by Chandi Hansa beat the pair of Mavulee Peiris and Saranga de Silva in the women's doubles final by 9-11, 11-4, 7-11, 11-8 and 11-6.

Thilina Piyadasa of the Sri Jayawardenepura University won the men's open singles title by beating Indika Prasad of Seylan Bank by 11-9, 11-4, 11-6 and 11-6. B. N. B. Jayasinghe and Tharindu Samaraweera took the men's doubles title by overcoming Rohan Sirisena and Thilina Piyadasa by 12-10, 5-11, 7-11, 11-9 and 11-9 in the final.
