Defeat UNP's unpatriotic plans - Sripathi

The LTTE is inviting proposals for a "Tamil Eelam" national anthem because its is expecting the UNP to deliver a separate State for them, the UPFA Presidential Election Propaganda Coordinator Office said yesterday.

In a news release issued to the media, Coordinator Sripathi Sooriyarachchi said it was clear that what the LTTE describes as a peaceful solution alludes to a separate State. The UNP manifesto has accepted the homeland concept and articulated plans to combine the Tiger cadres with the Army while reducing the latter's strength, the release pointed out.

It called upon all patriotic forces to rally around UPFA candidate Mahinda Rajapakse to defeat such unpatriotic and treacherous plans.
