Don't listen to UNP's false propaganda: PM

Ninety per cent of people should rally round the Government without falling victim to the UNP's false propaganda and promises, said UPFA Presidential candidate and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse.

Addressing a meeting at Kurunegala, Rajapakse said 23 parties have rallied round him. The Prime Minister said Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe was betraying the country to the LTTE.

"The results of this election will spell either fortune or disaster for the country," Rajapakse said. The Prime Minister said the SLFP came to power in 1960 for the first time and found that the UNP Government had failed to answer the call of unemployment problem.
