Three policemen further 'remanded'

One sub inspector and two police men held by the LTTE were yesterday `remanded' by the LTTE 'court' in killinochchi until November 15.

The three police men were apprehended by the LTTE when they went into the LTTE controlled area in September in search of a British paedophile.

It is for the third time the three police men have been remanded when they were produced at the Killinochchi 'courts', sources said.

A lawyer from Killinochchi appeared for the policemen. However the 'court' extended the 'remand' period of the three policemen until November 17, saying that the investigations on them have not yet been completed.
