S.A. Attanayake pledges support to Premier

The former 1977/78 UNP's J.R. Jayewardene era Higher Education Deputy Minister and UNP Chief Organiser of Ududumbara electorate S.A. Attanayake, pledged his fullest support to UPFA Presidential hopeful Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse at Temple Trees yesterday.

Expressing his views on his support for Mahinda Rajapakse, Attanayake asserted that he had made this decision by giving his highest priority to the country. He made this decision considering the daily deterioration of the UNP's policies.

The UNP's Labour Union Vice President, UNP Galle district Lawyers' Union President and UNP Provincial Council candidate Mapalagama Wimalaratna, UNP Galle district parliamentarian's Election Committee Coordinating Secretary Vijaya Alwis and UNP Galle district Election Coordinator Palitha Amarawardena also met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse and pledged their support to him at Temple Trees yesterday.
