Fowzie on relief mission to Pakistan
MINISTER of Environment and Natural Resources A.H.M. Fowzie will
leave for Pakistan tomorrow as a representative of the President and the
Government.
He will convey the Government's condolence and hand over a Cheque for
US$ 100,000 to Pakistani Foreign Minister, states a Ministry press
release.
Fowzie earlier handed over some relief material including 8,575 tents
to the Pakistani High Commissioner Col. Bashir Wali Mohamed in Colombo
and expressed the sympathies and condolences of the Government of Sri
Lanka over the loss of lives and property. |
