Dubai rugby sevens - visa facilities
Emirates the Dubai-based international airline will facilitate visa
processing for Sri Lankan rugby fans keen to attend the Dubai Rugby 7s
to be held in Dubai from November 30th to December 2nd.
This assistance is available to all travellers flying on Emirates
through the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC) located at Emirates'
Colombo city office.
Many Sri Lankans who can find accommodation with friends and
relatives in Dubai during the three-day event could apply for visa
through the Dubai Visa Processing Centre, and no longer need to locate
sponsors in Dubai.
For those who would like to experience Dubai's hospitality, Emirates
Holidays has compiled a series of accommodation packages starting at US
# 482, on twin-sharing basis for three nights, at Rs. 8,200 only per
person, per night. This includes accommodation with breakfast, room
taxes, service charges and meet and assist services on arrival.
The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby 7s tournament is the opening round
of the IRB Sevens World Series featuring 16 of the best 7s nations. From
November 30 to December 2 this year, the event is set to break all
previous attendance records with over 140 teams and 1,750 players
expected to take part in what has become one of the most unique carnival
atmospheres to be found at any sporting event on the planet.
The top rugby nations will compete in this year's tournament
including South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Samoa and
Argentina, who will all be looking for victory in Dubai this year.
The international action is just a part of this magnificent event.
The International Invitational, Gulf, Local Social, Ladies, Veterans and
Youth competitions run alongside this and make it an action-packed three
