Mirando's funeral today

THE final journey of Tryphon Mirando, secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee will take place today where cortege leaves residence for burial at general cemetary, Borella (Roman Catholic section) at 4 p.m.

Mirando died of a heart attack last Monday while visiting his family in London. His body was flown to Colombo yesterday.

A large gathering is expected to converge at the general cemetary to pay their last respects to a much loved personality.

Sri Lanka Cricket requests all cricketers and administrators both past and present to congregate opposite Devi Balika Vidyalaya gate at 3.45 p.m. to draw the hearse. The SLC office will be closed half a day today.

Mirando was also vice president of Sri Lanka Tennis Association, Janashakhi Insurance director, marketing and chairman, Kotmale Holdings.
