CWC to strengthen political set up in Uva Province

CEYLON Workers' Congress (CWC) leader Arumugam Thondaman is planning to shift his political activities to the Uva Province, Badulla district.

He will give the lead to the CWC's political activities in the Uva Province following the Presidential Election. This is to strengthen and unite the people of Indian origin in the Province and to give them a strong leadership, the CWC said in a release yesterday.

Thondaman also will participate actively in the Presidential Election campaign of Ranil Wickremesinghe nationally as well as in the Uva Province, CWC Vice President and media spokesman R. Yogarajan said.
