UNP presidential campaign in Kandy

THE UNP will officially launch the Presidential campaign of its candidate, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe today with a public rally opposite the Kandy Central Market.

Leaders of the CWC, SLMC, UPF and other parties and groups supporting Wickremesinghe are due to address the rally which will begin at 2 p.m., UNP Deputy General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said.

The Opposition Leader is also scheduled to meet Mahanayakes of the Malwatte and Asgiriya Chapters and Hindu, Islam, Catholic and Christian clergy in Kandy.
