Top post for Devendra

SRI LANKA Nidahas Sewaka Sangamaya General Secretary Leslie Devendra has been unanimously elected Vice President of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee of the International Transport Workers' Federation.

He will represent the South Asian Region in the committee.

The first Sri Lankan to hold this position, Devendra is one of the most senior trade unionists in the country, counting over 40 years experience.

A product of Royal College, Colombo, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law, in addition to international diplomas in Industrial Relations and Labour Policy Development.
