Budu Dhahamai Maha Muhudai to launch in New York

THE new edition of "Budu Dhahamai Maha Muhudai Kelanitissa Rajjuruvoi" by Damayanthi Jayakody will be launched on Sunday October 9, at 3.30 p.m. at the Buddhist Viharaya, New York, USA.

Ven. Kurunegoda Piyatissa Thera will be the chief guest at the launching and Ven. Thalgaswewe Seelananda Thera, Dr. Vincent Sandanayaka and Dayawansa Jayakody will address the gathering.

The book tries to register in the minds of the reader that Sri Lanka is subjected to the command of the Lord Buddha and an absolute fact that no one in the world could change.

Buddha is venerated not only by human but also by gods could not be destroyed even by the most cruel violent waves of water.

The Buddha had shown the world his power over the nature by defeating the gashing waves of the sea. Those adhere to the tenets of the teachings of the Buddha and take refuge in the Thrivida Ratnaya (Triple Gem) will not fear death. Dhamma will protect them.

A number of Sri Lankans are due to attend the launching ceremony.
