Austrian to increase flights to Colombo
Dart Aviation (Pvt) Limited has been appointed to represent Austrian
Airlines as their Cargo General Sales Agent (G.S.A) with effect from
October. Austrian Airlines operate one weekly flight to Sri Lanka via
Maldives on every Monday.
Austrian is the only European National carrier that presently call
over in Sri Lanka and expects to increase its frequency to three weekly
flights with effect from November 2005.
Austrian Airlines operations worldwide counts from more than 40 years
and operates to over 120 destinations in over 60 countries covering the
five continents worldwide.
Dart Express Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., established in 1983 under Charles
Wijesundera has now expanded to west Asia region, Middle East and
Africa.
The company has also been appointed as G.S.A for Sri Lankan Airlines
Cargo in Bangladesh and it's freighter operations are to commence in
late 2005 and GAS for cargo, in Sri Lanka for Delta Airlines, British
Midland Airlines, Air Mauritius, Cargolux Airlines.
Dart Aviation (Pvt) Limited was incorporated in August 2004 as a
fully owned Dart Group subsidiary company to handle new General Sales
Agencies for reputed airlines. This company has the General Sales Agency
for China Eastern Airlines, which is one of the most potential and
growing carriers in the Far Eastern Region.
